Mule All-District Basketball Team (3-5-2015)
The District 2-3A coaches recently met and chose 2015
Boys Basketball All District Team. The Mules finished third in the District and
defeated Spearman for the Bi-District Championship. The Mules finished the year
with a 14-15 record.
Three members of the Mule squad were name to the elite
team. The Mules averaged 54 points per game along with 36 rebounds and seven
assists.
Dagen Dunham led the Mules with a total of 390 points
over 26 games. He made 27 3-pointers and shot 36.5 percent from behind the arc.
Dunham made 69 free throws and shot 64 percent from the charity line.
He pulled down a total of 196 rebounds with 70 being
on the offensive end and 126 defensive rebounds. Dunham made 35 assists, 40
steals, blocked 33 shots and deflected 16 passes.
Jason Florez had 291 points in 25 games that included
14 3-pointers and 69 free throws. He shot 52 percent from behind the arc and 53
percent from the free throw line.
Florez grabbed 27 offensive rebounds and 61 defensive
rebounds for a total of 88. He made 65 assists, 60 steals and deflected 20
passes.
Danny Campos was named as an Honorable Mention to the
All District team. He scored 121 points in 24 games with 34 being free throws.
He shot 55 percent from the charity line.
Campos pulled down 77 offensive rebounds and 74
defensive rebounds for a total of 151. He made six assists, 26 steals, blocked
six shots and deflected 14 passes.
JJ Gandara, Grey Johnson and Blayne Shipman were all
named to the Academic All-State Team.
To be nominated for Academic
All-State, a student must be:

An athlete,
student trainer or manager in good standing with the team
·
Of good moral
character
·
A senior
·
Have an overall
grade point average of 92 or above (including courses from grades 9-11 and
courses completed from grade 12). Weighted GPAs accepted.
