2016 All-Dist Lady Mule Basktball
(2-28-2016)
The District 2-3A girl’s
basketball coaches met and selected the 2016 All-District Team. The Lady Mules
are well represented with three players on the elite squad.
Sadie Sudduth, a junior guard
for the Lady Mules, averaged 13.2 points per game along with 4.2 assists. She
only averaged turning the ball over 2.4 times per game. Sa. Sudduth made 82
percent of her free throws during the season to break the Lady Mules single
season record. She scored 42 3-pointers during the season.
Sydnie Sudduth, a junior
guard for the Lady Mules, made 32 3-pointers during the season and averaged 10
points per game and 5.6 rebounds. She made 72 percent of her free throws.
Conley Niblett is a sophomore
post for the Lady Mules. She averaged 10.4 points per game and 10.2 rebounds
for a double-double for the season.
“We ended the season with a
record of 15-14 were 5-5 during district,” said Lady Mule coach Carey Sudduth. “I
am proud of all of our girls and how hard they worked this season.”
“Sadie’s statistics are very
good for a point guard. She did a good job of distributing the ball and scoring
when we needed points. Sydnie was our jack-of-all-trades and did whatever the
team needed her to do. Conley had nine games during the season where she
recorded 10 or more points and 10 or more rebounds. That is very difficult to
do.”
“We appreciate the support of
the fans at each game and how they traveled with us. We will miss our seniors
but look forward to having the younger girls back for next season. Many of the
girls are already talking about next season.”
