8th Lady Mules
Track @ Littlefield (3-3-2016)
The eighth grade Lady Mules
opened their track season in Littlefield Thursday afternoon and finished third with
113 points. Idalou won the meet with 136 points and Shallowater placed second
with 135 points. Brownfield was fourth with 103 points, Levelland finished
fifth with 58 points and Littlefield was sixth with 51 points.
Abigail Reyes earned the
bronze medal in the shot put with a throw of 29 feet and four inches. Mia Kayla
Reyna took fifth in the shot put with a toss of 29-00 and Anahi Sandoval placed
sixth with a throw of 28-9.
Kehvia Edwards won the high
jump gold medal with a leap of 4-00. Valeria Carreaga, Joceline Ramirez and
Kylee Espenson won the silver medal, bronze medal and placed fourth with times
of ten minutes 17.33 seconds, 10:37.12 and 11:02.85 respectively.
The Lady Mule 400-meter relay
team of Perla Vasquez, Abi Reyes, Aracely Mendoza and Chole Villa finished
fifth with a time of 58.30. Didi Esquivel was sixth in the 800-meter run with a
time of 3:04.64. Kehvia Edwards finished fifth in the 100-meter run with a time
of 20.21.
Lillian Lutz was fourth in
the 100-meter dash with a time of 14.71. The Lady Mule 800-meeter relay team of
Joceline Ramirez, Aracely Mendoza, Emili Mora and Chloe Villa finished fourth
with a time of 2:06.41. Kylee Espenson won the bronze medal with a time of
1:15.10.
Kehvia Edwards won the gold
medal in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 57.39. Destiny Vasquez placed
sixth in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 1:20.40.
Emili Mora won the gold medal
in the 200-meter dash with a time of 30.11. Aracely Mendoza earned the bronze
medal in the 200-meter dash and Lillian Lutz placed fourth with times of 31.67
and 31.98 respectively.
Valeria Carreaga earned the
silver medal in the 1600-meter run with a time of 6:32.97. The Lady Mule
1600-meter relay team of Joceline Ramirez, Kylee Espensen, Emili Mora and Perla
Vasquez won the team bronze with a time of 4:54.40.
The Lady Mules traveled to
Levelland for the Lobo Invitational Tuesday March 8 and then go to Dimmitt
March 22.
