JV Mules vs. Littlefield (10-27-2016)
The JV Mules and Littlefield Wildcats were tied at 8-8 after three
quarters. The Mules added one final touchdown in the final quarter to
defeat the Wildcats 14-8.
Raul Sierra led the Mule offense by completing 18 of 21 passes for
206 yards and two touchdowns. He rushed seven times for 38 yards.
Ryan Rodriguez led the Mules in rushing with eight carries for 74
yards and he caught four passes for 83 yards and one touchdown in the
final period. Sergio Solano made six receptions for 52 yards and JoJo
Rejino caught four passes for 46 yards.
Jacob DeLeon had two catches for 18 yards, with one being for a
10-yard touchdown in the second quarter. Fabian Valadez made two
receptions for seven yards.
The Mules first scoring drive covered 95 yards in the second
quarter and was capped off with a 10-yard pass from Sierra to DeLeon.
The Mules rolled up a total of 318 yards against the Wildcats.
The Mules will host the Shallowater Mustangs in the final game of the season Thursday evening.
JoJo Rejino led the Mule defense with 11 tackles. Jose Quintana
made nine tackles. Ryan Rodriguez and Jacob Kettner made eight tackles
each. Rigo Mendoza recovered a Wildcat fumble in the fourth period.
