Campos Ford Built Tough Player Week 5
(10-1-2015)
The Ford Motor Company
announced the winners of the 2015 Built Ford Tough Texas High School Football
Player of the Week trophy for week five. The Built Ford Tough gridiron heroes
are honored for their performance on the field and their leadership off the
field.
Each week of the regular high
school football season will see a new winner in the sport’s six classifications,
all with hopes of ultimately becoming the Built Ford Tough Texas High School
Football Player of the Year.
The Mules are open but at
halftime of this week’s games, the midpoint of the 11-week 2015 season will be
reached. Now the action begins to heat up with most teams starting district
action.
Ford Motor Company and each
of the 234 Texas Ford Dealers are delighted to honor six student-athletes each
week. These young men have excelled on the field, in the classroom, and in the
community. The Built Ford Tough Texas High School Football Player of the Week
Award for Week five in Class 3-A is Danny Campos.
Campos follows in the
footsteps of the Mules' previous Ford Players of the Week. Garrett Riley, Wes
Wood, Jared Skipworth, Cooper Washington and Caleb Wood have been named as a
weekly winner. Riley and W. Wood were honored as Player of the Year.
Campos was an easy choice
this week. The 6-2, 175-pound quarterback completed 16 of 22 passes for 432
yards and seven touchdowns (43, 12, 70, 41, 3, 77, and 51 yards) Friday night.
He also led the number 10-ranked Mules on the ground with seven carries for 48
yards in a 58-7 rout of Kermit.
Campos is a solid 3.5 GPA
student. His other activities include FFA, the stock show, and church work,
among others. He continues to draw interest from local colleges and he wants to
play on Saturdays.
Every Saturday morning at
8:30 AM (this week's show re-airs on Monday, October 5 at 2:00 PM and
Wednesday, October 7, at 1:30 pm), be sure to dial up the Built Ford Tough
High School Player of the Week TV show on Fox Sports Southwest to get the
