JV Mules Track @ Dimmitt (3-24-2016)

The JV Mules won the Dimmitt Bobcat Relays Thursday. The Mules defeated the host Dimmitt Bobcats, Friona, Tulia, Bovina, River Road and Hale Center.

Matt Olivas won the silver medal in the shot put with a throw of 34 feet even. Julian Astorga earned the bronze medal in the discus with a toss of 92 feet. Dominik Hasley placed fourth in the discus with a throw of 91-7.

Mikey Lozano won the gold medal in the high jump with a leap of 5-6. Isaac Mendoza also had a leap of 5-6 for the silver medal and Jorge Albarran took third by clearing 5-4.

Ryan Rodriguez placed third in the long jump and Justin Carrion was fifth. Lozano won the gold medal in the triple jump with a distance of 37-3 and Brady Martinez finished fifth.

Ean Hasley won the gold medal in the pole vault by clearing 10-06.

Jacob Kettner won the silver medal in the 3200-meter run with a time of 11 minutes and 30 seconds. Eduardo Pantoja earned the bronze medal with a time of 11:56.00. The 400-meter relay team of Izaiah Hurtado, Jorge Albarran, Justin Carrion and Ryan Rodriguez won the silver medal with a time of 46.8.

Corbin Hardwick won the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 48.19. Hasley followed Hardwick across the finish line for the silver medal with a time of 48.20. Albarran won the silver medal with a time of 23.61 and Carrion earned the bronze medal with a time of 24.80.

Lozano won the silver medal in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:12.00. Hasley won the silver medal in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 20.17. The 4x200-meter relay team of Albarran, Luke Del Toro, Mendoza and Rodriguez won the silver medal with a time of 1:39.06.

Kettner took the silver medal in the 1600-meter run with a time of 5:20.00 and Pantoja was two steps behind for the bronze medal with a time of 5:22.00.

The Mule 4x400-meter relay team of Del Toro, Mendoza, Lozano and Izaiah Hurtado won the gold medal with a time of 3:50.03.

The Mules will help host the Mule Relays April 1.
