Mule Track @ Dimmitt 3-24-2016
The Mule track team placed
second from a seven team field in Dimmitt Thursday afternoon. The field
consisted of Dimmitt, Friona, Tulia, Bovina, River Road and Hale Center.
Cesar Olvera won the shot put
with a heave of 41 feet and 11 inches. Jaxon Lee placed fourth with a distance
of 37-5. Oliver was back atop the medal stand by winning the gold medal in the
discus with a throw of 118-0.0.
Aaryn Ross cleared 5-6 in the
high jump for the bronze medal. Tre Villa placed fourth in the long jump and
Yoel Reyes finished fifth. Moises Vasquez hop, skipped and jumped 35-00 for
sixth place in the triple jump.
Jesse Leal cleared 11-00 in
the pole vault for the gold medal and Joe Waggoner placed fourth with a vault
of 10-00. The 400-meter relay team of Beto Diaz, Reyes, Villa and Ross placed
second with a time of 44.5 seconds.
Waggoner placed fifth in the
300-meter hurdles with a time of 44.1. Mario Flores earned the bronze medal in
the 800-meter run with a time of 2:11.00.
The 800-meter relay team of
Reyes, Villa, Diaz and Ross won the gold medal with a time of 1:33.09. Evan
Paez won the bronze medal in the 1600-meter run with a time of 5:05.00. Flores
finished fifth in the same race with a time of 5:11.00.
Reyes, Dagen Dunham, Villa
and Ross won the gold medal in the 4x400-meter relay with a time of 3:35.40.
The Mules will host the Mule
Relays April 1.
