7th Mules vs.
Shallowater (2-12-2018)
The seventh-grade Mules
closed out their basketball season with a loss to the Shallowater Mustangs.
Shallowater defeated the Mules by a score of 45-17)
Cash Reeder scored the Mules
only basket in the first period with an 18-foot shot from near the baseline.
The Mules trailed Shallowater 10-2 after one quarter.
Elisar Cisneros dropped in a
3-pointer from the top of the key with just over two minutes left in the first
half. Irvin Torres dropped in a 3-pointer from the top of the arc. The Mules
trailed Shallowater 20-8 at the intermission.
Reeder opened the second half
with a trey from the corner. The Mules trailed the Mustangs 20-11 with one
quarter left to play.
Torres passed to Nic Reyes
open in the lane for a hoop. Frankie Reyes scored on a 15-foot baseline jumper.
Nic Reyes made a steal and pushed the ball ahead to Torres for a fast break
layup.
Reeder and Torres paced the
Mules with five points each. Cisneros added three points. F. Reyes and N. Reyes
chipped in two points each.
