7th Mules vs.
Springlake-Earth (9-10-2015)
The seventh grade Mules
kicked off their season Thursday after noon by defending their home turf
against the Wolverines of Springlake-Earth. The Mules defeated the Wolverines
with an impressive 30-8 final score.
The Wolverines returned the
opening kick of the second half for a touchdown and added the two-point
conversion.
Joe Gutierrez ran roughshod
over the Wolverines with three touchdowns. Joey Martinez added a fourth tally.
Martinez added a pair of two-point conversions and Gutierrez chipped in a
third.
Gutierrez forced a fumble on
defense and Kurt Rodriguez. Later in the game the two Mules reversed roles with
Rodriguez forcing a fumble and Gutierrez claiming it for the Mules.
The Mules will host the
Shallowater Mustangs Thursday afternoon with kickoff scheduled for 5:00 PM.
