Lady Mules @ Wildcat Relays (3-6-15)
The Lady Mules finished
fourth in the Littlefield Wildcat Relays Friday with 61.5 points. Idalou won
the meet, Levelland was second and Littlefield placed third. Lamesa, Post and
Lubbock Cooper finished fifth, six and seventh respectively.
Angie Perez was sixth in the
discus throw with a distance of 69 feet and 8.25 inches. Marilyn Melendez
leaped to a gold medal in the high jump with a height of 4-7. Dani Diaz had a
bronze medal leap of 14-4 in the long jump and Ruby Andrade placed fourth in
the event with a distance of 13-10.
Blanca Ramirez tied for sixth
place in the triple jump with a distance of 28-5. The Lady Mule 400-meter relay
team placed fourth with a time of 54.17 seconds. Diaz finished fourth in the
100-meter hurdles with a time of 18.28.
The Lady Mule 4x400 meter
relay team earned the bronze medals with a time of 4:32.27. The relay teams
individual names were not available at press time.
The Lady Mules next meet is
Thursday March 12 in Shallowater.
