Freshman Mules vs. Snyder (9-1-2016)
The freshmen Mules traveled to Snyder and defeated the Tigers 24-14. The
Mules scored two touchdowns in the second period, one in the third period and
one in the fourth period. The Mules gave up a touchdown and a two-point
conversion in the third period and a touchdown in the fourth quarter.
Matthew Alarcon led the Mules with 12 carries for 123 yards and completed
eight of 11 passes for 111 yards and three touchdowns. Cristian Bustillos caught
three passes for 19 yards and one touchdown.
Jose Cardenas made two receptions for 39 yards and one touchdowns. Jimmy
Villa had two catches for 40 yards and one touchdown. Jesus Montiel rushed nine
times for 56 yards. Eddie Vasquez recovered a fumble for a touchdown and made
six tackles.
Sanchez led the Mules with eight tackles. Cardenas made six tackles,
Montiel had five stops and Nathan Rodriguez made three tackles.
The Mules will host the Brownfield Cubs Thursday, September 8 at 5:00
PM.
