Lubbock Cross-Country Meet (9-27-14)

Only the Lady Mule and Mule varsity runners competed in the Lubbock Cross-Country Meet on the Mae Simmons Park Course Saturday morning. It was a small group of runners from Muleshoe compared to most of the meets in which they compete.

Mireya Ruvulcaba finished 30^th in the girls division with a time of 13 minutes and 47 seconds.

“She gets stronger every meet and continues to be a leader for this young ladies team,” said Muleshoe cross-country coach, Edie Niblett.

Evan Paez added to his medal count this year by placing 13^th in the boys division with a time of 17:48.

“With all the rain that Lubbock has had, the course was really in pretty good shape,” continued Niblett. “We will run again in Lubbock at the district meet October 20^th. Our next meet is in Sundown October fourth and we hope to get a good look at our district competition. Today was a great day to be a Mule.”
