7^th Lady Mules vs. Tulia (12-8-2014)

The seventh grade Lady Mules jumped on the Tulia Hornets in the first period and cruised to a 20-9 win.

Joceline Ramirez put the Lady Mules up early with a pair of free throws in the first period. Val Toscano dished to Anahi Sandoval on a delayed break for an easy basket. Toscano finished the period with a drive to hoop from the right wing. The Lady Mules led 6-2 after one quarter.

Sandoval put back and offensive rebound to start the second period. Destiny Vasquez made the pass to Sandoval in the paint for a short shot. Toscano scored back-to-back hoops to extend the Lady Mule lead to 14-4 at the intermission.

Abi Reyes made the Lady Mules’ only hoop of the third period to lead 16-5 with one period left to play.

Toscano hit and eight foot jumper to start the final frame. Tulia went on a four-point run but Reyes made the final hoop of the night.

Toscano led the Lady Mules with eight points. Reyes and Sandoval dropped in four points each and Ramirez chipped in two points.
