MHS Golf @ Farwell (3-31-2015)
The Muleshoe High School golf teams participated in
the Friona Invitational held on the Farwell Country Club course Tuesday
afternoon. The Lady Mules place second with a total of 459 strokes. The Mules
did not have a full contingent of players at the tournament.
Sadie Sudduth and Conner Harrison were the
tournament gold medals as medalist. Sa. Sudduth finished the 18 holes with a
total of 101 stokes. Harrison shot a total of 81 strokes to lead the boys
division.
“The kids are getting better every week and we are
looking forward to our second district round next Monday,” said Muleshoe
golf coach Carey Sudduth. “The Mules go to Tulia and the Lady Mules get to play
at Muleshoe. Regional competition will be April 13-16 at Shady Oaks
Country Club at Baird. The boys play April 13 and 14 and the girls take
the course April 15 and 16.”
Miranda De Bruin finished the day with a 112 strokes
and Sydnie Sudduth rounded the course with 122 strokes. Emily Precure finished
the day with 124 strokes and Gabby Chavez completed the day with 130 strokes.
Tony Castillo shot a total of 105 strokes and Dustin
Stearmer finished the day with a total of 131 strokes.
