Mule Track @ Dimmitt (3-27-2015)
The Mules earned second in the Dimmitt Bobcat Relays
Friday afternoon. Dimmitt won the meet while Highland Park, Friona, Hale
Center, Bovina and Tulia finished in that order behind the Mules.
Jesse Easily earned the bronze medal in the long
jump with a leap of 18 feet 8.75 inches. Cesar Olvera also earned a bronze
medal but in the discus throw with a distance of 115-8.75. Olvera won a second
bronze medal in the shot put with a heave of 40-11.00.
Evan Paez won the silver medal in the first race of
the day. He ran a time of 11 minutes and 7.14 seconds. Mario Flores finished
sixth in the same race with a time of 12:00.62. Cristian Paez won the silver
medal in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:06.74.
Francisco Elizalde won the Mules first gold medal in
the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.58 seconds. The Mule 4x200-meter relay
team of F. Elizalde, Danny Campos, Tre Villa and Aaryn Ross won the gold medal
with a 1:34.26.
C. Paez earned the bronze medal in the 400-meter
dash with a time of 54.14. Ross placed sixth in the 200-meter dash with a
23.96. E. Paez won the gold medal in the 1600-meter run with a time of 5:00.52
and Flores placed fifth with a 5:12.59.
The Mule 4x400-meter relay team of Villa, Campos,
Ross and Easily won the silver medal with a time of 3:35.94.
The Mule Relays are scheduled for April 2 and the
Mules will travel to Lamesa April 10.
