Lady Mule Track @ Muleshoe (4-2-2015)
The Lady Mules hosted the Muleshoe Relays and
finished sixth with a total of 41 points. Brownfield won the meet and were
followed by Denver City, Littlefield, Friona and Dimmitt. Olton finished behind
the Lady Mules.
Shanice Rosas scored first for the Lady Mules by
placing fourth in the discus with a throw of 89 feet and seven and a half
inches. Conley Niblett placed fourth in the high jump with a leap of 4-8.
Daniela Diaz won the Lady Mules first medal with a bronze medal height of 7-6
in the pole vault.
Ruby Andrade, Brianna Barron, Diaz and Jazmin
Arellano teamed up for the 4x100-meter relay and placed fifth with a time of
53.52 seconds. Blanca Ramirez placed fourth in the 800-meter run with a
2:39.78. Jasmine Garza placed sixth in the 800 with a time of 2:43.84.
D. Diaz won her second bronze medal of the meet in
the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 17.20. Andrade, Niblett, Barron and
Arellano placed fifth in the 4x200-meter relay with a time of 1:53.91. Ramirez,
Niblett, Arellano and Andrade finished the day with a fourth place finish in
the 4x400-meter relay with a time of 4:18.84.
The Lady Mules will be back on the track in the
Golden Tors Relays in Lamesa April 10. The Lady Mules will host the District
2-3A Track Meet April 17.
