Combined JV & 9th Mules vs.
Friona (10-30-2014)
The freshmen Mules join the
JV Mules and traveled to Friona Thursday afternoon. The combination seemed to
work well as the Mules pounded the Braves 47-17. The Mules rushed for 337 yards
and passed for 92 more yards for a total of 409 yards of offense.
Aaryn Ross scored on runs of
four, 74 and 48 yards. Bryce Mauricio had a 35-yard touchdown reception and Matt
Flores scored from four-yards out. Michael Lozano made a 16-yard touchdown
reception.
Ross carried nine times for
152 yards, Evan Paez rushed six times for 61 yards and Arnulfo Hernandez ran
seven times for 45 yards. Lozano rushed had four rushes for 47 yards.
Mauricio caught one pass for
35 yards, M. Flores had two receptions for 15 yards and Brandon Chavez made two
catches for 26 yards. Lozano had one catch for 16 yards.
Boo Flores led the Mule
defense with 10 tackles, Dominik Hasley made eight tackles, two for losses and
had a sack. Dylan Miller had six tackles with one being for a loss, sacked the
quarterback and forced a fumble. Blake Parker recorded five tackles with one
being for a loss and Donovan Gutierrez had six tackles.
