JV Mule Track @ Muleshoe

The JV Mules won the JV Mule
Relays with 170 points. Also participating in the Meet were teams from Seminole,
Brownfield, Littlefield, Dimmitt and Slaton.
Julian Astorga won the Mules
first gold medal of the meet in the discus with a throw of 104 feet and one
inch. Dominik Hasley placed fifth in the discus with a throw of 92-06. Matt
Olivas placed fourth in the shot put with a heave of 35-08.
Eduardo Pantoja won the
silver medal in the first race of the day, the 3200-meter run, with a time of
11 minutes and 25 seconds. Jacob Kettner earned the bronze medal with a time of
11:25.
Jorge Albarran won the bronze
medal in the high jump with a leap of 5-04 and Isaac Mendoza placed fourth with
a height of 5-02. Ryan Rodriguez won the long jump with a leap of 17-01.50 and
Justin Carrion placed sixth with a leap of 16-00.00.
Jacob DeLeon won the bronze
medal in the triple jump with a distance of 34-11.00 and Brady Martinez placed
sixth with a hop, skip and jump of 33-03.00. Ean Hasley won the gold medal in
the pole vault with a height of 10-06.
The 4x100-meter relay team of
Izaiah Hurtado, Jorge Albarran, Carrion and Rodriguez ran a gold medal time of
46.76. Hasley placed fourth in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 20.31.
Corbin Hardwick placed fifth with a time of 20.40 and DeLeon finished sixth
with a time of 20.92.
Rodriguez ran a silver medal
time of 12.00 in the 100-meter dash. The 4x200-meter relay team of Albarran,
Luke Del Toro, Mendoza and Carrion ran a gold medal time of 1:38.50.
Hasley ran a silver medal
time of 49.18, DeLeon placed fifth with a 52.82 and Hardwick finished sixth
with a 53.09. Albarran ran a bronze medal time of 24.81 in the 200-meter dash
and Rodriguez finished fifth with a 25.09.
Kettner won the gold medal in
the gold medal in the 1600-meter run with a time of 5:25.00 and Pantoja earned
the bronze medal with a 5:27.00. The 4x400-meter relay team of Del Toro,
Mendoza, Hardwick and Carrion with a time of 3:58.10.
The Mules will run in the
district meet on the Tulia Hornet track April 15.
