7th Mules vs. River Road (10-13-2016)
The seven-grade Mules dropped to 3-3 after making the long trek to
River Road Thursday. The Wildcats just defeated the Mules 20-16.
Daniel Avila caught a 30-yard touchdown pass from Jeremiah Barron
and Juan Nava tacked on the two-point conversion. Chupi Fabela recovered
a Wildcat fumble in the end zone for a touchdown. Barron added the
two-point conversion.
Barron rushed for 45 yards and Nava ran for 25 yards. Avila had 30 yards receiving.
Evan Lopez and Nava led the Mules on defense with five tackles each. Barron and Juan Zacarias had four tackles apiece.
Alex Regalado forced and recovered a fumble. Barron forced and recovered a fumble and Fabela recorded a fumble.
The Mules will host the Friona Braves at 5:00 PM Thursday afternoon. There will be no B-Team game.
