MHS Golf @ Lubbock Roosevelt Tourny (3-13-2017)
This past week the Muleshoe High School golf team traveled to Lubbock Meadowbrook Golf Course to play in the Lubbock Roosevelt Eagle Invitational Tournament. The Lady Mules won the tournament with a total score 408 strokes.
Eleven teams and 61 individual players competed in the tournament. Teams were from Class 1A to 4A schools in the area.
Emily Precure led the Lady Mules around the course. She shot a 48 on the front nine holes and 46 on the back nine for a personal best total of 94 strokes. She placed sixth as an individual.
Sydnie Sudduth and Yvonne Diaz had identical rounds of 104 shots and tied for twelfth as individuals. That was a personal best for Diaz. Sadie Sudduth finished with a round of 106 shots to round out the team scores.
Adrianna Mora fired a round of 127 shots, and Leti Loya finished with 133 strokes.
Eighteen schools sent boys to the tournament. Ricky Diaz would have been near the middle of the field and finished with a round of 117 strokes. Brendon Rodriguez posted a round of 137 shots.
The MHS golf team will play March 23 on the Comanche Trails Golf Course.
