JV Lady Mule Track @ District (4-17-2015)
Most of the JV Lady Mule track team have been busy with
other spring activities but they came together to place fourth in the District
2-3A Track Meet Friday with 75 points. Shallowater, Friona and Littlefield
finished ahead of the Lady Mules.
Anghy Aviles got the day started with a
gold medal toss of 25 feet and 10 inches in the shot put. Valerie Ambriz placed
sixth in the discus with a throw of 61-05.00.
Gloria Gonzales had a gold medal
leap of 13-11.25 in the long jump and Haley Hunt won the silver medal with a
distance of 13-01.00. Sadie Sudduth hopped, skipped and jumped to a silver
medal in the triple jump with a distance of 29-03.75. Sydnie Sudduth placed
sixth in the triple jump with a distance of 28-01.00.
The 4x100-meter relay team of Emily Precure,
Hallie Myatt, Sa. Sudduth and Sy. Sudduth placed fourth with a time of one
minute and 31 seconds. Haley Hunt had a bronze medal time of 14.06
in the 100-meter dash and Sydnie Sudduth placed sixth with a 14.81.
Daniella Cortez, Gloria Gonzales,
Haley Hunt and Laura Chavez teamed up in the 4x200-meter relay for fourth place
with a time of 2:06.59. Sadie Sudduth placed fifth in the 200-meter dash with a
30.90.
The final race of the day is the
4x400-meter relay. Precure, Gloria Gonzales, Haley Hunt and Laura Chavez won
the bronze medal with a time of 5:05.97.
