Mule Track @ Muleshoe (3-3-2017)

The Muleshoe Mules won the team silver in the Mule Relays Friday with 125 points. Shallowater won the meet with 151.5 points, and Dimmitt placed third with 103 points. Idalou finished fourth with 97 points, Post placed fifth with 67 points, Littlefield took sixth with 39.5 points, and Slaton was seventh with 32 points. 

Eduardo Pantoja, Jacob Kettner, and Ethan Gonzales jump started the Mules by winning silver, bronze, and sixth respectively in the 3200-meter run, the first race of the day. Pantoja ran a silver medal time of 11 minutes 18.81 seconds, Kettner had a bronze medal time of 11:29.24, and Gonzales finished with a time of 11:44.08. 

Leonel Camarena followed with a gold medal toss of 41 feet, and ten inches in the shot put. Romeo Reyes made a bronze medal leap of 19-02.50 in the long jump. Jorge Albarran cleared 5-10 for the silver medal in the high jump. 

Joe Waggoner made a silver medal vault of 11-06 in the pole vault. Jesus Montiel placed fourth with a vault of 10-00. 

Justin Carrion, Albarran, R. Reyes, and Beto Diaz teamed up for a gold medal time of 44.72 in the 4x100-meter relay. Michael Lozano placed fourth in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:08.15. Waggoner placed fourth in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 17.68. 

Beto Diaz finished fourth in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.62. The 4x200-meter relay team of Yoel Reyes, Lozano, Albarran, and R. Reyes ran a bronze medal time of 1:37.46. Montiel finished fifth in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 46.72. 

Albarran and Carrion tied for third place in the 200-meter dash with a time of 24.25. Pantoja claimed the bronze medal in the 1600-meter run with a time of 5:07.20. 

The Mule 4x400-meter relay team of Y. Reyes, Luke Del Toro, R. Reyes, and Lozano finished the meet with a time of 3:39.03. 

The Mules take the track Thursday, March 9, in Shallowater.
