7^th Mules vs. Littlefield (2-2-2015)

The seventh grade Mules hosted the Littlefield Wildcats Monday evening but could not keep up with the guests in the final three periods of the game. The Mules lost the game 33-21.

Damian Juarez scored just 15 seconds into the game. Cristian Bustillos finished a fast break with a lay up. The first period ended with the teams tied 4-4.

Hector Arras scored the Mules only second quarter points. The Cats pumped in nine points to lead the Mules 13-6 at the half.

Kelan Florez drove from the wing, pulled up near the free throw line and swished the net to open the second half. The Cats scored three baskets before Jacob Barron pushed the ball ahead to Matthew Alarcon running on a fast break. Alarcon kissed the ball off the glass for a lay up.

Jose Cardenas blocked out and grabbed an offensive rebound. He went back up strong for the hoop. Littlefield led the Mules 23-12 after three quarters.

Juarez answered a Wildcat basket with a shot from near the free throw line. Juarez drove from the right side for a basket on the Mules next trip down the floor. The Cats scored three times before Bustillos made a free throw.

Florez scored from near the corner  and Bustillos put back a rebound for a hoop.

The Mules hosted the Friona Braves Monday evening and will travel to Shallowater February 16 to wrap up the season.

Juarez led the Mules with six points and Bustillos finished with five points. Florez added four points. Cardenas and Alarcon chipped in two points each.
