7th Lady Mules @ Muleshoe (3-20-14)

The seventh grade Lady Mules out scored the second place team in the tri-team Mule Relays Thursday by 66 points. The Lady Mules had tied their all time high score of  231 points by the time the meet ended. Littlefield and Seagraves trailed the Lady Mules in that order. 

Kyndal Miller got the Lady Mules started by winning the gold medal in the pole vault with a height of six feet. Kayla Torres and Maddison Price tied for the silver medal in the high jump with identical leaps of  3-10.  

Keely Dunham had a silver medal throw of 25-10 in the shot put and Sophie Reyna took bronze with a distance of 24-6. Natali Elizalde had a bronze medal leap of 13-2.5 in the long jump and Reina Regalado placed fourth with a jump of 12-6.5. 

Dunham tossed the discus 50-7 for the bronze medal and Abigail Boehning placed fifth with a 47-5. Citlalli Vargas hopped, skipped and jumped to fourth place in the triple jump with a distance of 25-9. Kinsey Parker placed sixth in the same event with a distance of 23-11.5. 

Lili Martinez ran a gold medal time of ten minutes and 11.68 seconds in the 2400-meter run. Alyssa Wheeler ran a silver medal time of 10:29.27 in the same event and Jennifer Cervantes placed fifth with a 12:00.62.

The 4x100-meter relay team of  Natalie Diaz, Vargas, Regalado and Miller ran a gold medal time of 57.61. Miller rand a gold medal time of 1:07.03 in the 400-meter dash. Ab Mendoza took the bronze medal in the same event with a time of 1:18.72 and Diaz place sixth with a time of 1:23.13.

 Elizalde ran away with the gold medal in the 100-meter dash with a time of 13.34. Parker placed fifth in the event with a time of 15.28 and Clarissa Ruvulcaba placed sixth with a 15.93. Hallie Gardner ran a 21.56 for the silver medal in the 100-meter hurdles.  

Elizalde won the gold medal in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:59.28, Vargas took the silver medal with a 3:02.52 and Gardner earned the bronze medal with a time of 3:03.78. Vargas won the bronze medal in the 300-meter hurdles with a 1:00.56, Parker was fifth with a 1:02.71 and Maddison Price placed sixth with a 1:05.02. 

In the 1600-meter run Martinez won the gold medal with a 6:36.21, Alyssa Wheeler took the silver medal with a time of 6:44.23 and Kayla Torres placed fourth with a 7:19.88. The 4x400-meter relay team of Dunham, Elizalde, Regalado and Miller won the final gold medal of the day with a time of 4:38.88. 

The Lady Mules will run Thursday in the Abernathy Antelope Relays March 28.
