7th Lady Mules Track @ Tulia (3-6-14)

The seventh grade Lady Mules just missed winning the Hornet Relays in Tulia by four points. Shallowater finished ahead of the Lady Mules in the 11 team meet. Panhandle, Lubbock Trinity, Idalou, Tulia, Littlefield, Childress, Friona, Dimmitt and Valley finished in that order behind the Lady Mules. 

Keely Dunham and Elizabet Villareal got the Lady Mules off to a fast start by winning the gold and silver medals in the shot put. Dunham had a gold medal distance of 29 feet and three inches while Villareal threw 28-0. 

Citlalli Vargas placed fourth in the long jump with a leap of 12-4.75. Vargas also placed sixth in the triple jump by hop, skip and jumping 25-0.50. Kyndal Miller won the gold medal by pole vaulting 6-0. 

Lili Martinez and Alyssa Wheeler won the gold and silver medals in the 2400-meter run with times of ten minutes 16.79 seconds and 10:32.95 respectively. The 4x100-meter hurdle team of Natalie Diaz, Vargas, Miller and Dunham ran a gold medal time of 37.17. 

Miller won her third gold medal in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:50.21. Abigail Boehning placed sixth in the 100-meter hurdles placed sixth with a time of 20.77. Natali Elizalde won the bronze medal  in the 800-meter run with a time of 4:14.52.

Dunham, Elizalde, Miller and Vargas won the silver medal in the 4x400-meter relay with a time of 7:23.93. 

The Lady Mules are off for Spring Break but will host the Mule Relays March 20.
