8th Mules vs.
Littlefield (1-8-2018)
The eighth-grade Mules
struggled Monday afternoon against the Littlefield Wildcats. The Mules fell
57-15.
Jacob Reyes dropped in a
10-foot baseline jumper for the Mules first hoop. Zack Hasley drained a
3-pointer from the right wing. The Mules trailed 5-26 after one quarter.
Jeremiah Barron made all six
of the Mules’ points in the second period. Barron’s first basket was from the
elbow, the second a reverse layup, and he drove from the right side for a layup
high off the glass. The Mules were down 11-44 at the half.
The Mules failed to score in
the third quarter.
Nathan Ferguson lifted the
ball high in the air to float it through the hoop. Barron wrapped up the Mule
scoring when he drove from the right wing for a layup.
Barron led the Mules with
eight points. Hasley made three points. Ferguson and Reyes chipped in two
points each.
The Mules played in the Levelland
Tournament over the weekend. The Mules traveled to Idalou Monday and will stay
on the road January 22 in Dimmitt. The will return home January 29 to host the
Slaton Tigers.
